How To Use:
I ALWAYS have these sitting on my work bench, best wire connection you can do for the money - I install a LOT of wires. you can't go wrong with them - here's a LED light, power supply setup I was working on for a customer's UTV - relays stepping up to 24v , w/main relay inc protective Diode and these connectors make short work of joining these wires in 1 step - they're worth every penny
I installed new headlights for my motorcycle and used male/female connectors that needed to be crimped onto the wires. They didn't hold very well and weren't waterproof. I came across these connectors and decided to try them. They're much easier to use, and they are more secure. All you need is a regular lighter to melt the solder, and the heatshrink plastic ensures the connection is waterproof which is nice for riding in the rain. Once the connector cools off, the hold is strong, and you don't have to worry about the connector falling off. Good variety of sizes of connectors in the box too.
You'll love these connectors, not only do they install easily, they shrink right up with a nice glued seal on the wire sheath to make a nice water proof seal. couldn't ask for better.
These connectors were perfect for the RGB LED modules I needed to link together for a huge sign over the stage and then send leads out to my DMX decoder. The sleeves easily slipped over the wire insulation, and there are easy to see through in order to align everything perfectly before crimping and then heating/shrinking. Will order this style/brand connector for any of my future projects as well.
These things are amazing. Just slip the joint onto one end of the two wires you want soldered, slip the other wire in, and after about 30 seconds with the heat gun you're DONE. I've soldered many wires together and this just works so much faster and easier than forgetting the heat shrink or trying to use electrical tape. As one friend said, "It's even easier and better than doing it the right way"
These things are AWESOME!!! I wish I had discovered them a LONG time ago. The only complaint is that it can be hard to hold both sides still to avoid the joint bending as you heat it up. However, with a little care in holding it correctly, this product is the BEST product I've EVER used! Seals very tight and so far 100% successful and SOLID connection.
These things are surprisingly useful. I've been wiring up 3D printer components and it's so much faster and cleaner than doing a traditional solder and heat shrink tubing. They shrink more evenly and completely than the regular heat shrink tubes
This is a nice set to try out these connectors because there is a variety of sizes to fit any size of wires. I used the small white size to connect some very thin LED wires to 20 gauge wire. In one case, was able to fit two leads on one side. You definitely need a heat gun, though. Tight spaces can be a lot harder to work on in, compared to crimped connectors.
These wire connector make it trivial to join wires properly. The solder flows well under a heat gun, while the wraps are shrinking. There are beads of adhesive on each end of the solder, making it waterproof and more durable. I'm a very happy customer!
